The Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center says, "Even the US Veterans Administration admits that US Navy Veterans have some of the highest incidences of lung cancer that is cause by exposure to asbestos. Other high risk workplaces for asbestos exposure include shipyards in California, Washington, Virginia, or Maine, power plants, manufacturing factories, chemical plants in Illinois, New Jersey, Louisiana, or Texas, oil refineries, mines, smelters, aerospace manufacturing facilities in Seattle, or Wichita, demolition construction work sites in all US states, railroads, automotive manufacturing facilities in Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin, or auto brake shops. With lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure the lung cancer may not show up until decades after the exposure. Many victims never smoked, and never connected the dots between the asbestos exposure, and their lung cancer. As long as the victim, or their family members can prove the exposure to asbestos, we will do everything possible to help them get what might be significant financial compensation."
