Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center Now Attempts to Alert All Non Smokers with Lung Cancer About Significant Compensation if They Were Exposed to Asbestos at Work
Date:3/4/2013

(PRWEB) March 04, 2013

The Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center is actually trying to change public awareness about lung cancer, asbestos exposure at work, and potentially significant financial compensation. The group's initiative is not just focused on mesothelioma, it is focused on any type of lung cancer with the caveat being there must have been significant exposure to asbestos in the workplace. The group says, "According to the American Cancer Society for nonsmokers who have been exposed to asbestos in their workplace the risk of lung cancer is five times that of unexposed workers. What we are trying to do is increase public awareness about the fact there can be significant financial compensation for any type of lung cancer if the victim was exposed to asbestos at work, and we really need loved ones, or family members to help us get the word out about this." For more information lung cancer victims, or their family members are urged to call the Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center at 866-714-6466. http://LungCancerAsbestosVictimsCenter.Com

According to the Veterans Administration US Navy Veterans have some of the most significant exposure to asbestos, because frequently the ships they served on had asbestos in the engine rooms, and other parts of the ship. As of 2011 there were slightly over 20 million US Navy Veterans.

The Lung Cancer Asbestos Victims Center says, "Aside from the US Navy, other high risk workplaces for asbestos exposure include shipyards in places like Washington, California, Virginia, Maine, and Louisiana, power plant workers especially in places like Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, Texas, or Kentucky, manufacturing factories, chemical plants, oil refineries, mines in West Virginia, Kentucky, Idaho, Montana, or Nevada, smelters, aerospace manufacturing facilities in Washington, California
