Longview, TX (PRWEB) February 10, 2010 -- What’s the definition of hope?
One might say the feeling that something desired may happen or the feeling of knowing that events can turn out for the best. Longview Therapy Center, PLLC, offers hope to unravel a seemingly complex set of problems and present them in an integrated, logical, and therapeutic manner.
At the clinic, there is an emphasis on integration of sensory motor processing through the vestibular/cochlear, proprioceptive, oral motor, auditory, tactile, and visual systems. These systems are the target to meet goals.
Each of the three disciplines of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology coordinate their treatments for the benefit of the whole person. Multi-system sensory techniques are utilized to facilitate maturation and integration of the foundational visual, vestibular, oral-motor, sensory-motor, tactile, proprioceptive, and auditory-language pathways. Each discipline works as a team to develop and implement individualized treatments to remediate areas of dysfunction, by integrating these systems for higher functions to emerge.
Families are provided with Home Exercise Programs/activities as they are an integral part of the team. Children, who have previously found moving through life difficult due to challenges in these areas, begin to laugh and have fun as their skills develop. Life becomes more enjoyable as their ability to interact with their environment and others improve.
Home, school, and social settings also show improvements as developmental skills emerge and become stable. And hope becomes an actualized expectation as children meet their goals. There is hope to unveil a seemingly complex set of challenges into an integrated, logical manner.
“Hope is a flame of good expectation dwelling in each human heart. It flickers, waiting to be fanned into a glorious flame.” At Longview Therapy Center, PLLC, clients find the means by which to set their potential ablaze.
We invite you to learn about this unique place of hope! It truly is special!
