Longs Drug Stores Donates Supplies to Victims of Santa Cruz Mountain Fires

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., May 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Longs Drug Stores Corporation (NYSE: LDG) announced today that it has donated bottled water and nutritional bars towards the support relief efforts for victims of the fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

"Many of our customers have been displaced temporarily by the evacuation procedures," said Warren F. Bryant, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Longs Drug Stores. "I am proud of the Longs employees serving their customers in this area during this disaster and very appreciative of the valiant efforts of the many fire fighters who are working diligently to contain the fires. We are proud to do our part to support these efforts by donating such items as bottled water, nutritional bars and other items to assist those displaced during this difficult time."

All of the Longs Drugs in the area are open. Longs pharmacy customers needing new or refill prescriptions can use any Longs Drugs location to fulfill their prescription needs. Customers can call 1-800-To-Longs to find the Longs pharmacy nearest to their current location.
