Long Term Care Leader Applauds Clinton for Bringing Critical Issue of Senior Care into the Presidential Debate

WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Statement of Bruce Yarwood, President and CEO, American Health Care Association & National Center for Assisted Living:

"On behalf of the entire long term care profession and the frail, elderly and disabled who receive care and services in our nation's nursing and assisted living facilities, I commend Hillary Clinton for being the first presidential candidate to address the critical issue of long term care in America. We know that in January, the first baby boomer will receive her first social security check -- and in just three years, she will be eligible for Medicare. I applaud Senator Clinton for recognizing the need to ensure critical high quality long term care -- for those who require services now, and for the 77 million baby boomers who will need this critical care in the not-too-distant future.
