Loma Vista Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group Announces Low Cost Annual Exam for Women with No Health Insurance
Date:6/2/2010

To help women affected by the recession, Loma Vista Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group has lowered the cost for an annual exam and Pap smear test for women without health insurance.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) June 2, 2010 -- San Jose, California, based Loma Vista Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group announced a low cost annual exam and Pap smear test for women without health insurance. The cost for an annual exam has been lowered to $150 and is available to women of any age. A separate Pap smear test is $36.

Says Loma Vista physician, Dr. Anjali Tate, "We are seeing it more and more every day…people are losing their jobs and insurance, COBRA access is expiring, insurance premiums have gotten prohibitively expensive . . . as a result, annual physicals and Pap smears get put off. But even in these hard times, we know how important it is to continue with preventative care and cancer screening. We decided to do something about it."

Adds Lenita Cobb, Loma Vista's office manager, "There a number of advantages to the new low cost exam program . . . it enables women of all ages to stay current with their personal healthcare, current Loma Vista patients can maintain their existing physician relationship, and women new to the area are provided an opportunity to establish a relationship with a local physician."

The only conditions are that the patient has no health insurance and payment for both the exam and Pap smear is due at patient check-in. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted for the exam. Payment for the Pap smear is at cost and payable by a check made out directly to the testing company. More details about the no insurance, low cost annual exam may be found on Loma Vista's Web site:
