LocumTenens.com to Sponsor New Series, Your Career In Healthcare, on ReachMD XM 160
Date:6/28/2010

LocumTenens.com President Shane Jackson selected as series co-host

Alpharetta, GA (Vocus) June 28, 2010 -- Physician recruiting firm LocumTenens.com has announced their sponsorship of a new radio series on ReachMD, a national radio channel for medical professionals broadcast on XM Satellite Radio channel 160, ReachMD.com, and the MedicalRadio iPhone App. Your Career in Healthcare debuts today and will be co-hosted by R. Shane Jackson, president of LocumTenens.com, and Tim Rush, president and founder of HealthJobsNationwide.com.

ReachMD provides medical news and information to help time-constrained medical professionals stay abreast of new research, treatment protocols and continuing education requirements. Your Career in Healthcare will focus on creating informative programs to help healthcare providers make the most of their careers from both a business and employment perspective. The series will feature experts in the field to provide insight on a broad range of career and employment topics designed to equip healthcare providers with the tools needed to navigate their personal career paths. Topics include trends in overall healthcare staffing, practice valuation, changing specialties, malpractice, non-clinical jobs, work/life balance and much more.

The two inaugural shows hosted by Jackson will feature a discussion with Tony Gregoire of Staffing Industry Analysts about overall trends in healthcare employment and an interview with Charles R. Evans, immediate past president of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the former president of HCA’s Eastern Group in Nashville, TN. Evans will discuss the growing trend of physician groups being owned by hospitals or doctors working directly for hospitals, and what it means for physicians.
