Local Nursing Home Leader Receives Life Care's Northwest Division President's Award

Life Care Centers of America honored Nancy Butner, executive director at Life Care Center of Kirkland, with one of its Northwest Division President's Awards on Monday, Sept. 21.

Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) September 25, 2009 -- Life Care Centers of America honored Nancy Butner, executive director at Life Care Center of Kirkland, with one of its Northwest Division President's Awards on Monday, Sept. 21.
   
The President's Award recognizes distinguished service in long-term health care management. Butner was one of only two associates to receive this honor in the Northwest Division, which includes 30 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Butner was praised for leading the facility to high scores on its latest customer satisfaction survey, including 100-percent positive results for treatment by staff and 95-percent positive results in the areas of rehabilitation and respectfulness of staff.

"These incredibly high scores are due to Nancy's emphasis with her staff on treating residents as the most important reason why they are working at Life Care Center of Kirkland," said Dan Murray, regional vice president.

Other areas of excellence include low associate turnover, financial responsibility and open support for therapists, who provide services not only to the facility's residents but also to several assisted living centers in the area.
