Linkwell Corporation Announces Launch of the 'Series of Handwashing Contest' Across China
Date:8/25/2009

SHANGHAI, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Linkwell Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: LWLL), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of healthcare related disinfectants in China, announced that its 90% held subsidiary, Shanghai Likang Hi-Tech Co., Ltd, will launch a series of campaigns, entitled "The Shield of Likang -- The National Contest of Hand-washing" across the country for one year, from September 2009 to September 2010.

The COO of Linkwell, Mr. Chunming Huang said, "Hand washing is playing a more and more important role in preventing the spread of all kinds of diseases worldwide, like the SARS and H1N1 viruses, among others. Furthermore, the increasing numbers of disastrous incidents of nosocomial infection in China recent years, such as at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an, Jiaotong University School of Medicine and TianJin Jixian County Maternal and Child Care Service Center, all show that there is still a very long way to go for hospital infection control and management in China. According to an authoritative report from the World Health Organization, proper hand washing can decrease hospital infections by nearly 60%. Medical institutions in China are still far behind their peers in other countries both in awareness and facilities in terms of hand disinfection.

"To fully explore the hand disinfectant market, integrating advanced western ideas and the Chinese national condition, the Likang company has put out the Jifro(R), Putai(TM) series of hand disinfectant products, with 6 series and more than 40 specifications, covering all sectors from hand washing, hand disinfection and surgical hand disinfection. Likang owns most hand disinfectants approved by the Chinese Health Ministry at present," said Mr Huang.

"We will work with professional associations from the Chinese nosocomial committee to carry on this contest nationwide, as well as develop various symposiums regarding the relationship between hand disinfection and infection control, through which we can do some material work to help highlight the awareness of hand hygiene and improve hand washing and disinfection standards around the country." Mr Huang also mentioned, "At the same time the company has selected hand disinfectant as a New Profit-increasing Point for the rest of this year. It is planed that the sales of hand disinfectant will increase 15 million RMB this year, rising nearly 50% compared to last year, and the hand disinfectant sector should account for 30% of the total revenues of the whole company other than the 18% in the year of 2008.

"Likang is in possession of more than ten patents in this field and its products have been very close to those of multi-national corporations both in design and quality, and are even more excellent in some aspects. While other domestic competitors are still behind us, we have faith that this campaign, though our make great effort, will be very successful," Mr. Huang concluded.
