Lifespace Communities Selects StaffKnex Software for Nurse Scheduling and Employee Communications
Date:12/17/2009

Simple interface and communications functions were determining factors. StaffKnex, developers of web-based nurse scheduling and employee communication software, recently announced it was selected by Lifespace Communities to deliver its software solution to all Lifespace Communities nationwide.

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) December 17, 2009 -- StaffKnex (www.StaffKnex.com), developers of web-based nurse scheduling and employee communication software, recently announced it was selected by Lifespace Communities (formerly Life Care Retirement Communities) to deliver its software solution to all Lifespace Communities nationwide. Lifespace Communities is the seventh largest not-for-profit leader of independent senior living communities in the U.S.

StaffKnex offers labor cost management solutions specifically designed for the long term care industry through its intuitive scheduling and communications software. Lifespace Communities is known not only for its quality of care to its residents, but for its operational efficiency assuring best practices across communities.

StaffKnex was initially chosen for a pilot program in August 2009, at The Waterford in Juno Beach, Florida. In less than two weeks the StaffKnex system was live. The Waterford was managing their entire nursing staff and instantly communicating with them by text, email, and the telephone to fill open shifts and resolve call offs. In November Deb Goss, Director of Health Services, selected StaffKnex as a premier partner for staff scheduling for all communities. The employee scheduling program will be implemented in three additional communities over the next few months.

Sean Nealon, Executive Director at The Waterford stated, “The StaffKnex scheduling solution is the technology our industry needs to embrace and begin to utilize for overall better performance of our communities, across the board.”

Scott Harrison, President/CEO of Lifespace Communities stated, “StaffKnex software delivers unparalleled labor cost management with simplicity. The easy-to-use interface and unique communications functions will help us continue to provide quality care.”

Labor accounts for up to 70% of the operating budget in a typical long term care facility. Management is challenged to meet HPPD requirements while keeping overtime in check. StaffKnex software eliminates the need for time-consuming phone calls to staff to fill call off shifts. The automated software contacts qualified employees by their preferred method of contact, whether phone call, e-mail, or text message. Employees interested in filling a shift can respond by the same methods.

Mark Woodka, CEO of StaffKnex, added, “We’re very excited about our new relationship with Lifespace Communities. Our software solution delivers immediate ROI, and we’re confident Lifespace Communities will enjoy the savings and the ability for nurses to spend more time providing improved care throughout all of their locations.”

StaffKnex invites administrators of long term care facilities to contact them for a free ROI analysis. The company can help administrators to know in under five minutes if StaffKnex software is an appropriate solution for their facilities.
