Date:11/6/2009

Award-Winning Company is Maker of The Thermal Angel Blood & IV Fluid Infusion Warmer

DALLAS, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Estill Medical Technologies, a family-owned Texas company that produces The Thermal Angel Blood and IV Fluid Infusion Warmer, was named one of the area's 100 fastest-growing privately-held companies at an award ceremony Wednesday.

Co-founded by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship in 1990, the Dallas 100(TM) identifies and recognizes the area's fast growth businesses based on their sales histories, credit reports, and character.

Jay Lopez, along with his brother, Brandon, vice president of operations and business development, and their father, Leonard, the company's chairman, were recognized at the prestigious ceremony held in The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

"We're deeply honored to be recognized for our efforts by those who share our values and support our goals," said President Jay Lopez, noting that Estill's Thermal Angel Blood Warmer is a standard of care for the U.S. Military, and hundreds of commercial customers including EMS, Hospital, Pediatrics and elective surgery centers.

Vice President of Development Brandon Lopez said: "My father, brother and I are passionate entrepreneurs who care deeply about our products and the ability of individuals and businesses to create their own destinies and contribute to the society. We're grateful to receive this award."

According to the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship website, the Dallas 100(TM) was created to celebrate area entrepreneurs. "While entrepreneurs are the engines of growth in our economy, they often go unrecognized. The Dallas 100(TM) was created to correct this injustice," it states.

The Thermal Angel, a patented medical device being utilized by U.S. hospitals, military and emergency responders, supports the caregiver who wishes to warm IV fluids being administered to the patient, helping to lessen the effects of fluid-induced hypothermia.

The Thermal Angel utilizes advanced technology which regulates the temperature of blood or IV fluid almost 5,000 times per second. It also requires only 30 seconds to set up and start delivering warm fluid in any health care setting.

Disposable and lightweight (only 9 oz.), the disposable Thermal Angel can serve emergency responders, paramedics, pre-hospital practitioners and public safety responders to reach their readiness goals by helping them serve vulnerable patient populations.

To order the Thermal Angel TA-200 (catalog #TA-200 and NSN# 6515-01-500-3521) and related products, please visit: www.ThermalAngel.com.
