Lice Safe Introduces Licen Tool
Date:3/17/2009

EASTCHESTER, N.Y., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- FRIED LICE: "You don't have to be such a nitpicker" now has new meaning. Lice Safe, a progressive upstart manufacturing company, is set to introduce the latest in delousing technology. The technology uses the standards set at The Center for Disease Control "CDC" website. The guidelines are clear in stating: "to kill lice and their eggs/nits you must use heat in excess of 130 degrees." Lice Safe was able to adapt a design and secure it with the help of the firm Edward Ellis at www.LeasonEllis.com that accomplishes just that and more. This Licen(TM) Tool exceeds these standards and incinerates the lice and nits on contact. There is no nitpicking or damage of the hair or infected person. "This method gets within 6 millimeters of the scalp and reaches temperatures in excess of 420°F, depending on model, as shown in our controlled testing," said Joe Munoz Director of www.licecentersofamerica.org.

The unveiling of the tool will happen at the Tri State Camp Conference in Atlantic City March 18 2009 at 1 p.m. "A truly chemical free way to eliminated lice and nits without any nit combing," said Mary Burr Northeast Regional Director for Head Lice Hero. Head Lice Heroes (www.headlicehero.com) are one of the few licensed head lice service companies currently in the country. Today there is no regulation or oversight on these groups working on your child. ANYONE can be a nitpicker. But it is a comfort knowing that only licensed hair professionals can be heroes.

Head Lice Heroes, together with Lice Safe, have made a commitment to create social change and educate the public. "One of my concerns is that The AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) has a position not to single out a child that may have lice. They believe that this will stigmatize the child. I believe that ignorance is the worst remedy for any situation and we need to discuss these challenges with the children. Together with HLH, we will initiate educational campaigns and programs for camps, schools, parents and children about the head lice stigma," said Michele Errico from Lice Safe. A local school nurse, Sarah C from Westchester, NY, said, "14 days of combing endlessly or just one hour with a hero... now that was easy."
