Liberal Thinking: It, and It Alone, Has Always Been the Force Behind Positive Social Changes in America

ork Times wrote, “Think of what this country would have been like if those ordinary people had never bothered to fight and sometimes die for what they believed in.” And historian, Howard Zinn, refers to these people as “…the people who have given this country whatever liberty and democracy we have.”

The authors boldly claim that it is never an easy road to make major changes for the sake of justice in any country and most times there are very powerful conservative thinkers who will stand in the way of justice. Each chapter of the book gives specific examples of how difficult it has been to convince those conservatives who oppose such just movements to reverse themselves and support them.
