Liberal Thinking: It, and It Alone, Has Always Been the Force Behind Positive Social Changes in America

o many people talking about Why Liberal Thinking Changed America: The Evolution of Justice in Our Nation’s History? The book emphasizes that historically, liberal thinkers and liberal movements have initiated and persevered in changing the important social, economic, educational and medical principles in American society. Further, it has always been the conservative thinkers and conservative movements that have proven to be the major obstacles to these significant social changes. The authors, all three of whom are college professors, psychologists and have written numerous books, even challenge the conservative thinkers of America to write a similar book proving that they, the conservative thinkers, have led the way rather than the liberal-minded thinkers.

According to Dr. George Giuliani Sr., “Our book is important because it summarizes 15 very important movements in our nation's history, allowing people to not only see the past but to help them realize that every era, including our own, has important social injustices that may seem impossible to rectify at the time, but are likely no more difficult than injustices were of the past to resolve. Today, health Care Reform is an excellent example. Many presidents attempted it and failed. President Obama is struggling with it but, just maybe, the country is ready to overcome the injustice of 46 million Americans living without health insurance”.

Why Liberal Thinking Changed America: The Evolution of Justice in Our Nation’s History was written for two reasons. First, it was written to help give support and courage to those people with a liberal mind-set and to embolden them to step forward for a good cause, and to fight for justice, as our forefathers did. Second, it was written to summarize that it was the liberal-minded person who has always taken up the cause for justice.
