ICG has developed a series of new programs utilizing Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) capabilities. Amazon EC2 changes the economics of computing by allowing you to pay only for capacity that you actually use that leverage the "cloud", or hosted applications on servers maintained by Cloud Computing service suppliers. ICG has adapted its world-class RPM family of business process frameworks and its content storage and retrieval applications to be deployed and managed in an EC2 environment.

Jim O'Rourke, ICG Consulting's Director of Business Development, sees significant traction for this solutions delivery model given the difficult economic conditions. Among the ICG business solution frameworks that have been adapted for ICG's EC2 program include, Supplier Portal, Business Rules Processing Engine, Business Process Management, Content Storage & Retrieval, AP Processing, AR/Cash Management, and many more. Clients have the flexibility to implement some applications in the "cloud" while maintaining others internally. This offering also allows ICG's clients to store large amounts of related business content, data, images and electronic documents, in the "cloud" for a very low cost with minimal risk.

According to ICG's Director of Technical Operations, Jason Douglas, this new delivery and maintenance model offers the scalability that IT departments demand. The ability to scale up or down quickly without significantly impacting an organizations IT infrastructure or resources is a game changer.
