Dr. Lawyer will lead clinical efforts of the Maryland Medicaid contract
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- KePRO, a national medical management firm, appointed Lenaye Lawyer, MD, FACOG, to the position of Medical Director. Dr. Lawyer will oversee all clinical aspects of Medicaid operations being performed in KePRO's Hunt Valley, Maryland Harrisburg office.
"Dr. Lawyer has practiced her entire medical career in Maryland," said Alice Stollenwerk Petrulis, MD, FACP, Chief Medical Officer for KePRO. "She has intimate knowledge of the state's Medicaid program and strong relationships with many of the providers. She will be instrumental in furthering KePRO's outreach activities to Maryland's providers, and garnering acceptance of our web-based utilization review tools and processes."
Dr. Lawyer will lead all medical aspects relating to KePRO's peer review process, Medicaid utilization review and hearing activities, and other projects originating from the Maryland office. She will also play a key role in promoting the company's business development, physician recruitment, and strategic planning initiatives.

Dr. Lawyer is currently the Treasurer of the Baltimore City Medical
Society, for which she has been a board member for three years. She was
actively involved in the ACTiVATE program through the University of
Maryland, Baltimore County. Dr. Lawyer has received many citations,
including the Governor's Citation for work performed in Jefferson Parish,
Louisiana, after hurricane Katrina, one from the Scott-Hawkins Leade
