Legendary Folk Icon, Judy Collins, to Perform at The Fifth Annual James E. Marshall OCD Foundation Beyond Beauty Gala

Despite great strides, there is still a lot of work to be done in increasing public awareness and financial support for OCD, which is recognized as one of the ten most disabling diseases in the United States. All proceeds from the 2009 Beyond Beauty Gala will benefit the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Dr. Gerald Nestadt, M.D., M.P.H., Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Director of the Johns Hopkins OCD Clinic.

"I established The James E. Marshall OCD Foundation in memory of my son and in recognition of his last request to somehow make a difference in this world," says Linda Marshall. "Through his memory and this foundation, we hope to increase the public awareness and education about OCD and to raise vital funds for research in finding a cure. This remains our sole mission: Awareness, Discovery, Cure."

Heidi Manheimer is currently CEO for Shiseido Cosmetics America, the U.S. subsidiary of Japanese cosmetics giant, Shiseido Company Ltd., a position she has held since 2006. Notably, Ms. Manheimer is the first American female CEO in the company's 136-year history. Under her leadership, Shiseido Cosmetics America has experienced tremendous growth in the U.S. market, establishing the brand as one of the top ten most popular prestige beauty lines, according to NPD. Worldwide, Shiseido is recognized as the oldest cosmetics company in the world with distribution in over 69 countries.

As of January of 2008, Lesley Jane Seymour was named Editor-in-Chief for More Magazine, the leading publication celebrating women 40+, which is a title under the Meredith Corporation. Currently, More has a circulation of 1.3 million and was previously recognized as Magazine of the Year by Advertising Age.
