LegalView Re-Launches its Avandia Information Portal with News of the Type 2 Diabetes Drug's Risks and Dangers

LegalView reintroduced its Avandia practice area to include updated information for victims of the drug's side effects. Avandia has been linked to the development of early on-set osteoporosis and heart failure among patients.

Denver (PRWEB) October 21, 2008 -- LegalView.com, the most comprehensive legal resource available on the Web, recently re-launched its Avandia information portal to provide the most up-to-date news on potential Avandia side effects recently associated with patients taking the drug.

Avandia (risiglitazone maleate) is a type 2 diabetes treatment from GlaxoSmithKline and was released in mid-1999. The drug was part of a new group of drugs that work to use the body's natural insulin to regulate blood glucose levels. In May 2007, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a health advisory for the drug, notating its potential risks for causing heart attacks and heart-related deaths among Avandia patients.
