LegalView reintroduced its Avandia practice area to include updated information for victims of the drug's side effects. Avandia has been linked to the development of early on-set osteoporosis and heart failure among patients.

Denver (PRWEB) October 21, 2008 -- LegalView.com, the most comprehensive legal resource available on the Web, recently re-launched its Avandia information portal to provide the most up-to-date news on potential Avandia side effects recently associated with patients taking the drug.

Avandia (risiglitazone maleate) is a type 2 diabetes treatment from GlaxoSmithKline and was released in mid-1999. In May 2007, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a health advisory for the drug, notating its potential risks for causing heart attacks and heart-related deaths among Avandia patients.
