LegalView Re-Launches its Avandia Information Portal with News of the Type 2 Diabetes Drug's Risks and Dangers
Date:10/21/2008

LegalView reintroduced its Avandia practice area to include updated information for victims of the drug's side effects. Avandia has been linked to the development of early on-set osteoporosis and heart failure among patients.

Denver (PRWEB) October 21, 2008 -- LegalView.com, the most comprehensive legal resource available on the Web, recently re-launched its Avandia information portal to provide the most up-to-date news on potential Avandia side effects recently associated with patients taking the drug.

Those affected by the drug's side effects are advised to locate a pharmaceutical attorney as it may be necessary to develop an Avandia lawsuit to retrieve monetary compensation for the damages caused by the prescription drug.

Avandia (risiglitazone maleate) is a type 2 diabetes treatment from GlaxoSmithKline and was released in mid-1999. The drug was part of a new group of drugs that work to use the body's natural insulin to regulate blood glucose levels. In May 2007, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a health advisory for the drug, notating its potential risks for causing heart attacks and heart-related deaths among Avandia patients.

Additionally, in June 2007 the New England Journal of Medicine reported the severe dangers of heart failure among Avandia patients and found a 43 percent increase of heart attack among drug patients. Anot
