Leading Autism Expert Kenneth A. Bock, M.D. Launches National Foundation to Provide Financial Assistance to Children with Autism, Allergies, Asthma and ADHD
Date:3/13/2008

NEW YORK, March 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Leading medical innovator Kenneth A. Bock, M.D., founder of The Rhinebeck Health Center and author of HEALING THE NEW CHILDHOOD EPIDEMICS, today announced that he has formed The 4-A Healing Foundation, Inc. to assist the financial needs of families of children who are affected by the 4-A Disorders: Autism, ADHD, Asthma and Allergies. Dr. Bock believes that these four childhood epidemics can be treated and even reversed through a combination of biomedical, clinical and educational interventions.

"I am thrilled to be able to assist those who need help with treatment options through The 4-A Healing Foundation," said Dr. Bock. "All of us on the Board share the same passion: to increase the financial accessibility of biomedical treatment. This has been a goal of ours for many years and it is wonderful to announce such gratifying news."

Autism is an epidemic. It has spiked 1,500 percent in the last twenty years. ADHD, asthma, and allergies have also skyrocketed over the same time period. One of these conditions now strikes one in every three children in America. But there is hope, according to Dr. Bock and his colleagues. Doctors have generally overlooked the connections among the 4-A disorders, despite their concurrent rise and the presence of many medical clues. For years the medical establishment has considered autism medically untreatable and utterly incurable, and has limited ADHD treatment mainly to symptom suppression. Dr. Bock and his colleagues, however, have discovered a solution -- one that goes to the root of the problem. They have found that deadly modern toxins, nutritional deficiencies, metabolic imbalances, genetic vulnerabilities, and assaults on the immune and gastrointestinal systems trigger most of the symptoms of the 4-A disorders, resulting in frequent misdiagnosis and untold misery.

Dr. Bock's program draws upon medical research and is based on years of clinical success:

-- Reducing further exposure to toxins. Generally, children cannot heal if the barrage of biochemical insults against their bodies is not halted.

-- Moving existing toxins out of the system, primarily by detoxification. Various detoxification procedures help to eliminate toxins that are already lodged in the system. Also, certain techniques and modalities help restore the body's own natural ability to detoxify itself, with the detoxifying processes of methylation and sulfation.

-- Healing the damage that the toxins have triggered. Organs, glands, systems, and cells must be nurtured back to proper health.

-- Restoring proper function of the nervous system, the immune system, and the gastrointestinal system. This restoration takes time, but it is the quintessential mechanism of recovery for children who suffer from the 4-A disorders.

The 4-A Healing Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity that assists families with financial needs who have children affected by the 4-A Disorders. Financial assistance will be provided to families solely to help cover the cost of appropriate biomedical treatment. The 4-A Healing Foundation is a vehicle that allows people with financial means, a philanthropic mindset, and a heart open to the plight of these children and their families, to make a meaningful and most appreciated contribution to healing the 4-A Disorders.

The Foundation's corporate office is at 1325 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY.
