Lasting Recovery, San Diego’s Premier Outpatient Treatment Center for Alcohol and Drug Addiction, Is Awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 13, 2013

Lasting Recovery-- San Diego’s premier outpatient alcohol and drug addiction treatment center, has been accredited for three years for its Adult Intensive Outpatient Treatment and Partial Hospitalization: Alcohol and Other Drugs and Integrated AOD/Mental Health programs by CARF International.

The latest accreditation is the 2nd consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body CARF has awarded to Lasting Recovery.

“Our highly individualized programs address the unique mental, spiritual, physical, emotional, and social needs of each client,” said Lasting Recovery co-founder and Executive Director, Judy Saalinger, Ph.D., MFT, CAS. “We’ve been providing Outpatient Addiction and Mental Health services in the San Diego area since 2004. Intimate small groups led by a hand-picked professional staff create a warm and nurturing environment.”

Lasting Recovery offers treatment options five days a week, day and evening, all on an Outpatient basis,” said co-founder Dr. Arthur Farkas, Ph.D., SAP. “People can get well from this disease and meet their responsibilities. “We help clients choose the best course towards recovery and ultimate sobriety. We also offer self- evaluation quizzes, daily blogs and videos online at the website.”

Dr. Kai MacDonald, Lasting Recovery’s Medical Director, takes a practical, broad-based approach, and has expertise with all aspects of substance use disorders: “At Lasting Recovery, we address all aspects of alcohol and drug addiction,” he said. “When I evaluate patients, I take a whole-person approach, evaluating brain disorders, pain disorders, medical issues, medications, relationships . . . the gamut. Every individual brings something unique to recovery.”

Lasting Recovery is located in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego at 6046 Cornerstone Court W. #113 San Diego, CA 92121 and can be reached at 858-453-4315.

The CARF accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
