Healthcare, Pledging Commitment to Specialize in Patients' Needs -

GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Just as a 71 percent revenue growth (2005 through 2007) earned it the status as one of the Southland's fastest growing private companies by the region's top business media, Lakeside Systems, Inc. (Lakeside) is introducing a new name and brand for its healthcare organization: Lakeside Community Healthcare. The organization has created a multi-faceted marketing campaign to communicate its commitment to delivering quality, affordable healthcare to launch the brand, which is designed to unify all aspects of the fast-growing provider's integrated, comprehensive services.

"With our patients our number one priority, the name Lakeside Community Healthcare represents our pledge to deliver quality healthcare with compassion, respect and integrity, as well as our connection to the communities we serve," explained Francesco Federico, M.D., President and CEO, Lakeside Systems, Inc. "Our continued momentum and growth in 2008 made it clear our former brand and various names no longer represented our capabilities. With the new Lakeside Community Healthcare name, we will demonstrate our commitment to bringing our patients the best healthcare programs in wellness and prevention, diagnosis, disease management, treatment and more," he added.

During the past year, Lakeside Community Healthcare joined with other medical groups to expand its reach, opened a surgery center, increased its number of urgent care centers and grew its on-staff team of primary care physicians and specialists. It also formed a strategic partnership with Providence Health & Services California Region to extend the reach and services offered by both organizations and advance their shared mission of providing quality, affordable healthcare to the patients and communities they serve.

Lakeside Community Healthcare currently serves about 250,000 patients with more than 140 company physicians as part of its Lakeside Community Healthcare Medical Group and more than 1,800 physicians who are part of its independent physician (practice) association, or IPA, now known as Lakeside Community Healthcare Network. According to Federico, Lakeside Community Healthcare has made a pledge -- represented by the new tagline Specializing in You(TM) -- to represent its commitment to improving patient care, a natural outgrowth of its mission. The tenets of the pledge include:

-- A commitment to excellence and innovation in delivering quality, affordable healthcare;

-- Integrity in making the best, most appropriate decisions in patient care; and

-- A personal connection to patients and the communities it serves, placing relationships and compassionate care first.

"With the launch of our new print and television advertising campaign, we are introducing the Lakeside Community Healthcare brand and our pledge to the region," Federico added. "This campaign is designed to bring the pledge to life, with staff members -- physicians, medical assistants and administrative team members -- collectively focused on making the healthcare experience a personal and respectful one. This pledge is central to our identity and our company-wide commitment to putting patients' interests first."

Ads will appear in a range of publications in Lakeside Community Healthcare's service areas, including the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and San Gabriel Valleys as well as Eastern Ventura County. The campaign will run through the traditional fall "open enrollment" period, when patients are asked to make health plan choices and select their primary care physicians. Lakeside Community Healthcare physicians and ancillary services accept a full range of health plans, including HMO, PPO, EPO and other offerings.

Lakeside was just named by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal as the number one fastest growing private company in its region (over $50 million in revenue), and by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the top 100 fastest growing private businesses in the Los Angeles area, for its financial performance from 2005-2007. According to Federico, the company owes its growth to the application of best practices, programs and policies that comprise its mission to deliver quality, affordable healthcare. "As we expand our organization, we do so with our patients in mind. From our growing hospitalist program, which helps ensure quality in both care and communication for our patients when they are hospitalized, to our ambulatory care management program, in which doctors make regular 'house calls' to treat high-risk chronically ill patients, Lakeside Community Healthcare truly specializes in our patients' wants and needs," he explained.
