La Jolla Vein Care announces that Nisha Bunke-Paquette, M.D., FACPh, vein specialist board certified in Phlebology, was recently inducted as a Fellow Of The American College Of Phlebology (FACPh) following unanimous vote at the 26th Annual Congress. Dr. Bunke-Paquette is among fewer than 50 physicians in the United States who have been awarded this distinction.

Fellows of the American College of Phlebology (FACPh) are recognized for their substantial commitment and contribution to the specialty of phlebology. Phlebology is the field of medicine that deals with venous and lymphatic disorders. Committment to phlebology is shown through volunteerism, publications, research, teaching, education, years of practice, leadership and any other quality or behavior that leads to the advancement of vein care.

Dr. Bunke-Paquette has dedicated her practice exclusively to the management of venous and lymphatic disorders since 2008. Dr. Bunke-Paquette is currently appointed as the Director of La Jolla Vein Care, Volunteer Clinical Instructor of Surgery at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine, member of the Scripps Ximed Medical Group, and on staff at the Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Medical Center. Dr. Bunke-Paquette is a physician and scientist, actively leading clinical research studies.
