Global Language Interpretation and Translation Firm Maintains WBENC Certification.

Washington, D.C. (Vocus) April 23, 2009 -- LLE®, a leading provider of foreign language interpretation, translation and proficiency testing services to business, government and non-profit organizations across the world, has received its renewed certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) through the Women Presidents' Educational Organization (WPEO) of Washington, DC. This unique re-certification ensures LLE as a woman-owned business, expanding opportunities across the nation with thousands of organizations and federal agencies recognizing diversity and minority- owned operations. The WPEO is a regional partner of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

To become WBENC certified, an organization must be owned, controlled and operated by a woman or women by at least 51%. The certification process includes a rigorous review and on-site inspection by WPEO.

“This is certainly an honor and privilege,” explains Kathleen Diamond, President and CEO of LLE. “This certification continues to create many opportunities for LLE as we maintain our own commitment of fostering diversity and excellence in foreign languages.”

By including WBENC certified businesses among their vendors, organizations demonstrate their commitment to diversity supplied programs and development. To date, hundreds of organizations across the nation foster and support this initiative.

Diamond founded LLE in 1979. Today, LLE is powered by a community of thousands of professional linguists, offering language services such as telephone interpretation and document translation to organizations seeking to harmonize their multilingual message.
