LCA-Vision Announces Management Changes

CINCINNATI, June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LCA-Vision Inc. (Nasdaq: LCAV), a leading provider of laser vision correction services under the LasikPlus(R) brand, announces that David L. Thomas has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer from Senior Vice President of Operations effective June 2, and Rhonda S. Sebastian has rejoined the Company as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, effective June 1. Ms. Sebastian replaces Stephen M. Jones, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

"Dave has continually proven his leadership ability by developing and implementing initiatives that increase our operational efficiencies, allowing us during this recessionary period to control costs and conserve cash while maintaining our commitment to quality patient experiences and outcomes. He also is leading our marketing activities and managed care programs, and is overseeing operations at our national call center. This is a well-deserved promotion," said Steven C. Straus, LCA-Vision's Chief Executive Officer. "I'm delighted to welcome Rhonda on her return to LCA-Vision. She is an accomplished human resources executive with demonstrated success in developing and implementing organizational strategies in changing environments. Ms. Sebastian has more than 30 years experience in human resources, including the past 10 years in senior management positions. Most recently, she was Vice President Organization & Management Development at Cincinnati-based SENCORP, with responsibilities that included developing and leading a strategy to align corporate-level organization and management with the company business model.
