LABORIE Announces Its Urodynamic Systems Integration with meridianEMR

WILLISTON, Vt. and LIVINGSTON, N.J., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- LABORIE and meridianEMR announced today that they have successfully integrated their EMR and Urodynamic system for Urologists.

As the U.S. ramps up the implementation of EMRs in medical practices in order to lower costs, prevent errors, and improve patient care, meridianEMR and LABORIE MEDICAL have provided a great benefit to Urologists using LABORIE urodynamic systems.

The integration of LABORIE's urodynamic test results directly into meridianEMR's Urology specific EMR allows their Urology clients to experience the following benefits:

  • Saves 20-25 minutes per procedure every time an insurer requires a narrative with the report.
  • Special LABORIE template automatically inserts standardized Urology comments for the various results, and all comments can be customized by each provider.
  • Greater number of data points stored per report that is ideal for retrospective analysis
  • Eliminates transcriptionist time, reducing a direct expense and improving physician quality of life.
  • Report is available immediately instead of days later, if transcribing.
  • CPT code selection assistance is provided, and billing information is entered automatically.
  • ICD codes are selected automatically.
