Date:2/25/2008

Village Health Partners Powers Award-Winning Care and Service with Patient

Portal

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Kryptiq, the leading provider of next generation healthcare connectivity solutions, today announced that Kryptiq customer Village Health Partners (VHP) will be awarded the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence in the ambulatory category. The Davies Award will be presented at a recipient session on Tuesday, February 26. VHP was chosen for the award because of the efficiencies woven into the practice, especially the online health services offered through its Patient Portal.

Originally created in 1994, the HIMSS Nicholas E. Davies Award recognizes organizations that have demonstrated excellence in the implementation and use of health information technology, specifically electronic health records (EHR). While VHP's EHR implementation has improved the management of clinical information, it is the deployment of Secure Messaging and Patient Portal solutions that separates VHP from other practices. These solutions, which are integrated within the EHR's workflows, enables VHP to securely share health information, such as lab results, visit notes, and chart summaries, with patients, colleagues and other medical facilities. Additionally, patients can request medication refills, complete pre-visit online forms, and communicate with the staff electronically.

"Our goal is to create value for the patient, by providing superior quality care, access and convenience," said Dr. Christopher Crow of Village Health Partners. "Kryptiq's solutions enable us to successfully deliver all three of these to our customers, from within the context of our EHR. Kryptiq adds great value to our practice and is an important part of our use of technology to improve the outpatient experience."
