Million Dollar Body(TM) Is Awarding Over One Million Dollars to Help People
Lose Weight and Get in Better Shape
ANAHEIM, Calif., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Fitness website MillionDollarBody.com has just announced a $50,000 Grand Prize winner in its Million Dollar Body Game(TM), an ongoing incentive competition that is giving away over $1,000,000 this year to spur people to lose weight and get in shape.
Phyllis Stewart of Knoxville, Tennessee, previously won $1,000 from MDB for weight loss and now clocks in at 139 from a previous high of 216.
Phyllis first noticed her weight problem while camping with her kids. She felt uncomfortable wearing a bathing suit and would wear a size XXL t-shirt to cover her body. "The kids and I would go hiking and I always felt bad because they would get way ahead of me and then have to wait for me to catch up. I had no energy," she recalled.
Her transformation began when her doctor told her she was severely obese. Phyllis couldn't understand how this had happened to her. "I wasn't one to sit around with a bag of chips or cookies in my hand. So how did I get this over weight?" Phyllis remembered wondering. "Tony from MDB told me that I needed to start a food journal, and log everything that I ate. I soon saw WHY I was severely obese. I just didn't realize until I started reading food labels and logging my food just how much I was getting each day. Add that up with zero exercise and I got my answer."
She knew she couldn't be complacent. Her mother had her first heart attack when she was 42. She died at only 68 from heart disease. As Phyllis' own family grew, and she had grandkids, she was determined to be healthy, "so I could see them grow and be a big part of their lives."
She started her journey with Power90 then Power Half Hour, and Turbo Jam. She had amazing results and lost a total of 73 pounds. Despite a foot injury, Phyllis was undeterred and even worked out with a cast on her leg.
Since her initial contest win, she has completed a round of P90X and a round of the Master Series and then did her own hybrid mix of the 10-minute trainer, the X Master Series, Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs.
Phyllis has lost an additional 4 pounds and has replaced fat with muscle. "I have more muscle definition in my arms and chest. My body is so much stronger now. I see the results when I am hiking, not only in my muscles being stronger, but my heart and lungs as well," she said with pride.
"There are probably thousands of workout videos out there, but there is only one 'Beachbody Company' who provides us with an online support group that is second to none. I have no doubt that without my friends to support me I would not have a story to give," she said. Friends she's met through Beachbody have changed her social life as well. She's traveled with them to Mexico twice, gone white water rafting in Colorado and spent time in Las Vegas.
"I am very proud of what I have accomplished," Phyllis concluded. "Losing 77 pounds was hard, but maintaining it was even harder! My goal is to continue with Beachbody and to pay it forward."
Like other winners, Phyllis' story is available to inspire others. Web visitors can follow her experiences at http://www.MillionDollarBody.com.
