Cystex® Ladies Room Launches New Web Site Initiatives, Connecting Women Directly with Top Board-Certified Urologist for Bladder Health Information

Edison, N.J.(PRWEB) April 15, 2009-- Physician-recommended Cystex®, the first and only over-the-counter (OTC) medication designed to help control the pain and progression of a urinary tract infection (UTI), announces the launch of the Cystex "Know Your Bladder Better" initiative at Ask the Urologist" feature and an informative and shareable "Know Your Bladder Better" Video Series. These new Web features include Elizabeth Kavaler, M.D., board certified urologist and author of "A Seat on the Aisle, Please! The Essential Guide to Urinary Tract Problems in Women," (Copernicus Books, 2006), who will be on hand to answer specific urinary health questions, clear up myths and inform women about important bladder health issues.

"I am often asked the same questions by my patients, ranging from how much water should they drink daily, to why do they get urinary tract infections frequently, when their other friends don't," says Dr. Kavaler, who is one of only 500 female urologists in the United States specializing in female urinary tract issues. "The new Cystex 'Know Your Bladder Better' features are a great way for women to get informed and stay informed about bladder health, especially since so many myths abound."

Women are encouraged to peruse through the FAQ section, and if they don't find the answer they are seeking, can submit a question to Dr. Kavaler. Dr. Kavaler will answer the questions related to urinary bladder health and post her responses on the Cystex Ladies Room Blog, and some of these answers will also be added to the FAQ section on the Web site.

Dr. Kavaler will also be the featured physician expert in the new Cystex "Know Your Bladder" video series, providing concise, but important information on urinary tract health to view, share and post (to blogs, etc.). "These videos are a great way to communicate important message in this digital age," she adds.

Cystex has also created an embeddable video player, making it easier for publishers to post the content on their sites. It can be found at the following link and embedded by clicking on "Share" and following the simple instructions:" http://bridgit.com/knowyourbladderbetter

Cystex® Urinary Pain Relief Tablets combine a pain reliever for temporary relief of the burning and discomfort of urinary tract infections (UTIs), along with an antibacterial agent that helps stop the progression of the infection while you wait to see a doctor (UTIs require prescription antibiotics to completely cure the infection; see your healthcare provider for proper diagnosis and prescription medication).

Please note that the new "Ask the Urologist" and Q&A with Dr. Kavaler on the Cystex Web site (www.cystex.com) or other sites associated with the Cystex Web site is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as a personal medical diagnosis or formal medical advice. If you have any health questions or concerns, we recommend that you seek medical advice from your physician.
