Kirby Lester's New KL30: Fully Automated, Compact System for a Fraction of the Cost of a Robotic Dispenser
Date:2/2/2009

e-point that makes the KL30 a very affordable, fully-automated system for any size pharmacy. Automating the top 30 medications saves significant time and steps - without being overkill. These are the medications that are dispensed over and over."

The KL30's major features are:

  • Automated, hands-free counting: 30 drug-specific cassettes are included to handle the most common oral solids in a pharmacy. Cassettes hold up to 650cc. Each cassette is "intelligent", or encoded and shaped for specific medications to prevent dispensing errors. If the needs of a pharmacy grow, additional cassettes can be ordered.
  • Double-counting assurance: The KL30 counts medications twice, first when tablets are dispensed from the cassette; and second, as the tablets fall through the Kirby Lester.
  • 100% order verification: The KL30 enables the pharmacy to verify the dispensing of 100% of all medications, not just oral solids.
  • Compact size: Fits on a countertop, needs no remodeling (only 21" high x 12" wide).
  • Bi-directional interfacing: Full connection with your pharmacy management system.
  • Built-in workflow software: Turn it on or off as needed to fit your processes.
  • Inventory tools: Effortlessly perform physical inventories, with no hand-tallying. Send inventory counts directly to the pharmacy management system or other database.
