Kevin Richardson Named Vice President, Sales, National & Multi-State Business for Kaiser Permanente

OAKLAND, Calif., March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Kevin Richardson has joined Kaiser Permanente as vice president, Sales, National & Multi-State Business. The announcement was made by Thomas A. Curtin, senior vice president, National Sales & Account Management.

In his role, Richardson is responsible for leadership and management of new business sales activity and production across the Kaiser Permanente organization for prospective national and multi-state employer group business.

Richardson has 25 years of experience in health care marketing, sales and client management with extensive background in selling and marketing an array of health benefits solutions to major corporations and benefits consultants across the country. Most recently, he served as chief executive officer for Benefit Systems and Services, Inc., a third party administrator, where he led the development and execution of sales, marketing and overall business strategies across all lines of business.

Throughout his career, Richardson has served in prominent sales leadership positions for several group insurance companies, including CIGNA, GreatWest Healthcare, Humana, and MassMutual/Unicare.

As the director for National Account Sales for Humana in Chicago, Richardson was the lead sales executive responsible for developing and managing relationships with benefits consulting firms in the Midwest. He also worked directly with national clients. While at Humana, he worked in close partnership with the top five national consulting firms to promote their total product portfolio and he was responsible for several of the company's largest sales.
