VIENNA, Va., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The National eHealth Collaborative, formerly AHIC Successor, Inc., today announced the results of its organizational leadership elections in which Kevin Hutchinson, President and CEO of Prematics, Inc., was elected to serve as Vice Chair of the organization's 2009 Board of Directors. The Collaborative builds on the accomplishments of the American Health Information Community (AHIC), a federal advisory committee established in 2005, and AHIC Successor, Inc., founded in 2008 to transition AHIC's accomplishments into a new non-profit membership organization, now known as the National eHealth Collaborative.

A recognized expert and leader in development and deployment of healthcare information technology, Mr. Hutchinson previously served at the request of U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Michael Leavitt as a Commissioner of the original AHIC. He is also currently a member of the board of directors for the eHealth Initiative (eHI) and the American Academy of Family Physician's (AAFP) TransforMED company.
