- Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Provides Better Diagnosis and Treatment for Patients with Shorter Recovery Time -

DALLAS, May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenneth L. Reed, M.D. performed the first revolutionary AccuraScope(TM) Discectomy and Neural Decompression (D.N.D.) procedure to treat acute and chronic back pain in Dallas this week. North American Spine's trained physicians are the only doctors performing the procedure in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The surgery is also currently being performed in Ohio, and North American Spine has plans for national expansion.

Dr. Reed is specially trained on the AccuraScope(TM) procedure which allows physicians to examine the inside of the spinal canal and the discs of the lower back to identify, diagnose and treat any tears, ruptures, herniations, bulges or other abnormalities - many of which may be undetected or mis-identified by MRIs.

"The AccuraScope(TM) procedure is the least invasive spinal procedure and allows me to diagnose and treat my patients' disc problems directly at their source where the problems occur," said Dr. Reed, physician with North American Spine. "Unlike other minimally invasive procedures, it also lets me look for problems at multiple levels which improves diagnoses and decreases the possibility of multiple surgeries."

The AccuraScope(TM) procedure is a minimally invasive, natural opening procedure that allows doctors to diagnose and treat acute and chronic back pain problems.
