wastes like sharps must be stored and transported in puncture-proof containers. The containers must be clearly identified with the international biomedical hazard symbol. A problem arises because many of these containers do not offer a uniform surface to attach any type of label. A second problem is that typically these are reusable containers, which require that old labels be removed and new labels attached. The placard identification solution provides a uniform surface that can easily be attached to the container. This surface allows for easy placement and easy removal of labels."
