Date:2/10/2010

TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Henry Loubet, Chief Strategy Officer for Keenan Associates, has been selected to join the Editorial Board of Payers & Providers, the premier weekly publication covering health care business and policy news in California.  Keenan is the largest privately held insurance brokerage and consulting firm in California.

Payers & Providers delivers in-depth industry coverage, breaking news and a lively Opinion section for a weekly audience of more than 3,000 top hospital, health plan and non-profit executives throughout California.  As a leading health care expert, Loubet joins a distinguished board and will be the first member from Northern California.  He will assist in guiding the publication's coverage of this highly dynamic industry and will provide opinion and editorial columns on topics of timely interest to industry leaders.

"Henry's role with one of the nation's most influential health insurance brokers and the key positions he has held at California's largest for-profit health plans provide a unique payer-based perspective to the publication," said Ron Shinkman, Publisher of Payers & Providers.

Loubet joined Keenan in the spring of 2003.  Prior to joining Keenan, he served as CEO, Western Region, for UnitedHealthcare and was President of Foundation Health of California.  He has also served as Senior Vice President and Regional Executive for Health Net, where he led the health plan's growth to 500,000 members.  And he was Vice Chairman/Chief Operating Officer for DrugEmporium.com, the early adopter in the online pharmacy industry.  Loubet is active with a number of the nation's premier health care organizations in Board of Director and Advisory Board capacities, as well as on non-profit boards.  He was named in 1997 as one of California's Top 100 Healthcare Executives.
