Dr. Chesky will lead clinical efforts of Pennsylvania-based contracts

HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- KePRO, a respected and rapidly expanding national medical management firm, named Stuart B. Chesky, DO, JD, as Pennsylvania Medical Director. Dr. Chesky, who replaces retiring medical director, Frank Castrina, MD, will oversee all clinical aspects of operations being performed in KePRO's Harrisburg headquarters.

"Dr. Chesky's combined medical and legal expertise lend themselves well to contract activities taking place in Pennsylvania," said Alice Stollenwerk Petrulis, MD, FACP, KePRO's Chief Medical Officer. "KePRO's medical risk management work with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is among the many contracts that will benefit from Dr. Chesky's professional training and acumen."

Dr. Chesky will lead all medical aspects relating to the peer review process, utilization review activities, risk management, credentialing, and other projects originating from the Harrisburg office. He will also play a key role in promoting the company's business development, physician recruitment, and strategic planning initiatives.

"I look forward to providing the clinical leadership necessary to assist KePRO's current and future contracts," said Dr. Chesky. "My obstetrics and legal background complements the medical malpractice review and risk and claims management recommendation activities that KePRO performs for HRSA's federally deemed health centers and free clinics. My expertise also aligns nicely with the organization's future contracting goals."

His varied experience includes medical malpractice culpability assessment and case review, providing expert medical testimony, and consulting for workers' compensation cases. Dr. Chesky has published several papers, including "VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section), a Medical Controversy," which appeared in the Medical Trial Technique Quarterly; and "Herpes Simple
