Katzen Eye Group Announces a New Option in Vision Correction Technology for Patients
Date:6/2/2008

TOWSON, Md., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Katzen Eye Group is happy to announce the newest advancement in Corneal Refractive Therapy, Paragon CRT. Paragon CRT temporarily corrects nearsightedness (myopia) with or without moderate astigmatism.

With a dedication to the health of their patients, Katzen Eye Group is continually improving their practice by incorporating the latest advancements in vision care. Paragon CRT is a specially designed contact lens that gently and temporarily reshapes the cornea while the wearer sleeps. The therapy provides the patient with great vision without contacts, glasses or surgery.

"This is an option my patients have been waiting for," states Dr. Eric Williams, an optometrist at Katzen Eye Group. "Now they will have the opportunity to have clear vision with the freedom from glasses and daytime contact lenses without the commitment of surgery."

Paragon CRT has been proven both safe and effective for patients of all ages when worn during the sleeping hours, earning this therapy the first and only FDA approval for nighttime use. The result is no more torn lenses, no more broken frames and no more discomfort from dry eyes. Dr. Eric Williams has been certified (an FDA requirement) to fit Paragon CRT, making him one of the growing number of doctors to achieve this level of certification.

Whether the patient plays sports, works in a dusty or windy environment, or is simply applying make-up, with Corneal Refractive Therapy nothing gets in the way of their vision. Since there is no permanent change to the eye, the patient has the ultimate control and flexibility in their vision correction.
