Karmanos Cancer Center Partners With Meadowbrook to Expand Outreach and Access for Cancer Services

DETROIT, July 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center announced that it has signed an agreement with Meadowbrook C Management, LLC, to lease space and equipment at the Meadowbrook Medical Center, located in Novi, Michigan. The approximately 14,000 square foot space will allow Karmanos to expand its outreach to cancer patients in Novi and the surrounding communities, as well as provide access to radiation oncology, medical oncology and chemotherapy services. With this agreement, Karmanos expects to start seeing patients at this location in January 2009.

Ruckdeschel, M.D., president and chief executive officer, Karmanos Cancer Institute. "We are pleased to work with Meadowbrook Medical Center so that cancer patients in Novi and nearby areas have access to the best possible cancer treatment and care close to home."

The Meadowbrook Medical Center was opened in January 2008 by a group of medical and surgical specialists who want to offer a variety of medical services to area residents. The location is central to eight area hospitals.
