Thousands of 9/11 rescuers and first responders have been diagnosed with cancers that, according to the federal government, are a direct result of the 2001 terrorist attack. And those numbers are growing, according to a new report.

Now, Kaplan Lawyers PC, a New York City personal injury law firm, is helping New York City’s heroes understand their rights as they face the crippling costs of cancer.

9/11-Related Cancer Victims Entitled to IRS Tax Deductions, Other Relief

Substantial income tax deductions are available to those who have fallen sick or died as a result of a terrorist attack. Recently, the IRS came under fire for failing to make victims aware of those deductions. In fact, many who are eligible may remain unaware. Victims, their families, and suffering first responders should consult with an attorney to make sure they understand their rights.
