Date:3/9/2010

KIWI Magazine invites kids ages 4 - 17 to enter to win the Next Great Young Chef Contest.

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 9, 2010 -- KIWI Magazine has launched it's second annual Next Great Young Chef Contest inviting kids ages 4 - 17 to show off their cooking skills. A panel of prestigious judges will help to pick the next generation of culinary experts. To enter, parents will upload a video of their child making their favorite original recipe using one or more of the products from contest sponsors including Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Sugar, Neilsen-Massey Vanillas, Endangered Species Chocolate and Annie Chun's All Natural Asian Cuisine.

The grand prize winner will receive $2,500 and a feature in an issue of KIWI Magazine and online at KiwiMagOnline.com and MyHealthySchool.com. The first prize winner will receive $1,500, the second prize winner will receive $500 and an honorable mention will receive $250. All entries must be uploaded through the website http://www.kiwimagonline.com/contests/NextGreatYoungChef via YouTube. The contest ends May 31st, 2010.

The winners of last year's contest were 7-year-old Meagan Rich with her recipe for Scrumptious Strawberry French Toast and 7-year-old Jake Littell with his recipe for Oatmeal Candy Clumps (both recipes can be found at kiwimagonline.com). "We're excited to be on the hunt for this year's Next Great Young Chef. It's inspiring to see children cooking and learning about healthy eating--and I can't wait to see the cute videos," says KIWI editorial director, Sarah Smith.
