K9 CarFence™ Launches as Newest Innovation in Pet Transportation
Date:6/18/2012

Glenside, PA (PRWEB) June 18, 2012

K9 CarFence™, the newest innovation in pet transportation, launched today in time for the busy summer travel season. The easy-to-install car safety system for dogs less than 35 pounds simultaneously promotes safety and comfort. The K9 CarFence™ was developed over four years of research and design by inventor and dog lover, Ira Stahl. The product can be purchased at http://www.k9carfence.com/ and is currently available at the introductory price of $95.00.

“I’m proud and excited to finally release the K9 CarFence™ to the public,” said inventor Ira Stahl. “I’m a loving owner of two dogs, Peanut and Bear, and enjoy bringing them with me everywhere. Every time we got in the car, I knew that for their safety and mine, they needed to be restrained. But tying them down with the traditional, uncomfortable restraints or banishing them to the backseat truly bothered me. I knew there had to be a better way for my best friends to enjoy travelling alongside me. My inventive nature led me to design the K9 CarFence™, which allows small dogs the freedom to move about while providing superior protection in case of a sudden stop.”

Over 80 percent of dog owners do not provide any in-car protection for their dogs, leading to thousands of dog deaths per year. According to a 2010 survey by AAA, 20 percent of those asked admitted to letting their dogs sit on their laps while driving. Additionally, a report from the ASPCA showed that an unrestrained pet that weighs 35 pounds can create 1,500 pounds of force in a car accident that occurs at 35 mph. A new law in New Jersey enables police officers to ticket any driver improperly transporting an animal, with fines ranging from $250 to $1,000 for each offense. Other states have similar legislation pending that will make restraining pets in motor vehicles mandatory.

The K9 CarFence™ is made in the USA and was recently awarded a design patent. The product works in almost all cars and trucks and installation takes just minutes. Straps attach the K9 CarFence™ to the passenger seat headrest, visor, and seat base with seven sturdy snap-in points. The K9 CarFence™ is made of 100 percent soft and strong nylon netting and can be used to secure other items in lieu of your dog. A video demonstration of the K9 CarFence™ can be found on the homepage: http://www.k9carfence.com/.
