Broadlane to provide national contracting portfolio, e-commerce exchange and clinical services

Dallas (Vocus) December 10, 2008 -- Broadlane announced today that Jordan Health Systems in Plymouth, Massachusetts has selected Broadlane as the exclusive provider of a broad range of supply chain services to help manage its approximate $35 million in annual spend.

Jordan Health Systems will access Broadlane's unparalleled national GPO portfolio of consumable supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals and purchased services. Additionally, Jordan Health Systems will utilize OnRamp™ (Broadlane's client portal) and BroadLink® (Broadlane's e-commerce exchange), to streamline purchasing processes.

Through The Preference Group™, Broadlane clinicians will provide an array of consulting services to Jordan Health Systems focused on reducing the cost of specific physician preference items and improving related procurement processes.

"After analyzing internal processes and expenditures, we came to the conclusion that by working with Broadlane, we could reduce spending while improving those processes," said Peter Holden, chief executive officer, Jordan Health Systems. "Demonstrated supply savings, exceptional account management and experienced clinical consultants are just a few of the reasons we chose Broadlane. We look forward to reducing our costs and to improving our processes so we are better able to serve our patients."

"We are pleased to welcome Jordan Health Systems as a Broadlane client," said Julie Plaga, senior vice president, sales, Broadlane. "They conducted ample research to determine the best solution for delivering the supply chain improvements and cost reduction strategies they needed. We're thrilled to be working with them and are confident that the custom solutions we developed will drive the sustainable savings and operational improvements they are seeking."

"Jordan Health Systems is a perfect fit for Broadlane," said David Ricker, president and chief executive officer, Broadlane. "We don't differentiate our contract pricing based on the size of our clients. Jordan Health Systems will receive the same negotiated contract pricing as our larger clients, which include some of the largest systems in the nation."
