Date:12/10/2012

Miami, FL (PRWEB) December 10, 2012

Renowned Miami business executive Jon Hoffenberg is proud to be named to the Board of Directors for the Friends of Miami-Dade Public Library, an important charity in South Florida dedicated to promoting library excellence through special education and cultural programs.

The Miami-Dade Public Library was founded in 1974 with the goal of supporting the then emerging county library system. Today, the organization is dedicated to advocating, volunteering and raising funds for important programs promoting adult literacy, after school tutoring, exchanges programs and more. These include an Annual Charitable Gala at the main library downtown, the Art of Storytelling Festival, Children’s Book Week, Reading Ready, Summer Reading, Tales Under the Stars, Teen Read Week and more. Each year, the Friends put on a Book Sale to help raise funds for library education, cultural programs and to get books back out into the community. This is their biggest and most important fundraising event. To learn more, visit http://www.friendsofmdpl.org/book-sale/.

Jon Hoffenberg is Executive Vice President of the Foundation for Hair Restoration and Plastic Surgery, one of the most successful cosmetic surgery practices in the world. He is also Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of YellowTelescope, a training, staffing and practice management corporation which helps medical practices to successfully grow their business. Hoffenberg received a B.S. in Economics from the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and opened his first company at the age of seventeen. He has 15 years of experience in sales management. Hoffenberg is excited to now be applying his talents to such a worthy organization as the Friends of Miami-Dade Public Library.

The Foundation for Hair Restoration and Plastic Surgery is committed to charitable works and giving back to the South Florida community. FHRPS Founder and Director Dr. Jeffrey Epstein works with several charitable organizations, including his own, offering his skills as a facial plastic surgeon and hair transplant specialist to help those in need around the world. He routinely helps those with such conditions as serious scalp scarring and burns. He and the FHRPS have worked with Operation Restore, the National Domestic Violence Project, and Neat Stuff Helps Kids, which provides new clothing and school uniforms to underprivileged and foster children in Dade County.
