John A. Millard, M.D. is 1st Surgeon in Colorado to Offer Smartlipo MPX™

While SmartLipo has swept the nation with its ease of use, the technology behind the popular fat removal procedure has leaped forward. Colorado plastic surgeon John A. Millard, M.D. is privileged to be the first in his state to offer the next generation - Smartlipo MPX™. Dr. Millard is also one of only two plastic surgeons authorized to teach other physicians how to perform this procedure.

Lone Tree, CO (PRWEB) July 9, 2008 -- Millard Plastic Surgery Center today announced it is the first center in Colorado to offer the general public SmartLipo MPX™, the next generation of the popular SmartLipo procedure for laser fat removal.

Patient Jamie Thompson, also of Lone Tree, was the first Colorado patient to undergo the upgraded Smartlipo MPX™.

"I used to run ten miles, three times weekly," she says. "But then, my life got real busy with marriage, three step-children and two, 180-pound English mastiffs. So I slacked off on exercise and my tummy got flabby."

Jamie opted to have fat deposits taken from her upper and lower abdomen with the new Smartlipo MPX™, which utilizes a combination of two different laser wavelengths that allow the procedure to proceed more efficiently, faster, and with far less bruising and swelling to the patient.

"I did not have to be put under general anesthesia and felt nothing after local anesthetics were injected," Jamie says. "No anesthesiologist was required and I had a little muscle relaxer just before surgery."
