Date:12/17/2009

Partner in Stauffer & Nathan law firm, litigators of complex personal injury and insurance cases, recognized for exceptional appellate work and insurance law practice

Tulsa, OK (Lexis Nexis) December 17, 2009 -- Jody Nathan, a respected Tulsa attorney with more than 20 years of experience handling personal injury and insurance coverage disputes, has been named by Oklahoma Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in the state of Oklahoma for 2009-2010.

Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers. The selections for Super Lawyers are made by Law & Politics, a division of Key Professional Media, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minn. Each year, Law & Politics undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by Law & Politics' attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.

Nathan, a partner in the Tulsa-based law firm of Stauffer & Nathan, P.C., has extensive experience in both federal and state appeals, and has an active motion practice. Since entering the practice of law in 1986, she has spent most of her time on cases involving personal injury and insurance coverage issues, including products liability, and professional liability. She is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in Oklahoma, as well as the Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. She has also served as a judge on the Oklahoma Temporary Emergency Court of Appeals, and is the author of a popular reinsurance law blog.

"I'm humbled and flattered to be recognized as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer, but I'm very mindful that this professional designation is a reflection of the high quality of legal services that our entire law firm provides to our clients every day," said Nathan, who was presented with the Oklahoma Bar Association's Earl Sneed Award in 2004.

Law & Politics publishes Super Lawyers magazines across the country. In addition to the magazines, Law & Politics publishes newspaper inserts and magazine special sections devoted to Super Lawyers. In 2008, Super Lawyers reached more than 13 million readers. Super Lawyers can be found online at superlawyers.com, where lawyers can be searched by practice area and location.

Stauffer & Nathan litigates and tries insurance coverage issues, complex personal injury cases, including class actions, first and third party claims, bad faith claims, and products liability claims.
