Date:10/31/2008

COLUMBIA, S.C., Oct. 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- InStil Health Insurance Co., a leading provider of Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D prescription drug policies in South Carolina and Georgia, announced today that longtime insurance executive Jim Hart has been appointed president and chief operating officer of the company.

Hart has more than 40 years experience in the health insurance industry and extensive knowledge of the Medicare program. He served for 20 years as a senior vice president of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, including 14 years as head of the BlueCross division that provides health insurance to individuals and small employer groups. In that role, Hart oversaw product development, marketing and operations for health plan products.

A Columbia native, Hart received a bachelor's degree and an MBA from the University of South Carolina.

Active in community service, Hart is public affairs chairman for the South Carolina chapter of the March of Dimes, and state honorary chairman for the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign. He is a member of the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation board. Hart previously served on the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce's board of directors and the Healthy Learners board of directors, and is past chairman of the South Carolina United Way Association.

"InStil Health offers Medicare beneficiaries in South Carolina and Georgia Medicare-approved health plans that provide more health care coverage choices and better health care benefits," Hart said.

More than 30,000 Medicare beneficiaries in South Carolina and Georgia have health or prescription drug coverage through an InStil Health product. InStil Health Medicare Advantage policies cover many services that traditional Medicare does not, such as an annual physical, discounts on other health-related services, and dental and vision programs. InStil Health plans offer affordable and predictable copayments, with one of the lowest out-of-pocket maximums on the market.

InStil Health, based in Columbia, S.C., is affiliated with the largest and oldest health insurer in South Carolina, and two of the largest Medicare contractors in the United States.

InStil Health's plans are marketed under the names InTrust and InCare. Enrollment information can be found at the company's Web site, http://www.myInStil.com, or by calling 1-877-4-InStil (1-877-446-7845).
