Jefferson Regional Medical Center Selects iSirona DeviceConX for Medical Device Integration

471-bed Hospital Has Begun Hospital-wide Implementation of iSirona Solution.

Panama City, FL (PRWEB) December 29, 2008 -- iSirona®, an innovative provider of data automation solutions for healthcare providers, today announced that it has signed an enterprise license agreement with Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC). Located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, JRMC is a community-based, not-for-profit hospital dedicated to providing measurable quality health services.

iSirona DeviceConXTM simplifies patient data collection by delivering data from bedside and mobile devices to clinical information systems. The solution also provides options for positive patient identification, ensuring the data is documented to the correct patient.

According to Jefferson's CIO, Patrick Neece, iSirona DeviceConX was a logical solution. "After evaluating other products, iSirona was an easy decision for us because of the flexibility and options around implementation. When coupled with the technology of wireless adapters for portable devices and integration capabilities into our clinical documentation system, they were a natural fit."

Phase one of JRMC's implementation is now underway, with "go-live" scheduled for late December. "iSirona DeviceConx will be a key component in our hospital-wide device integration initiative, where we fully expect to improve timeliness, accuracy and workflow in the clinical areas," says Neece.
