Jani-King of Cleveland Ready to Fight Swine Flu
Date:4/28/2009

CLEVELAND, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Jani-King International, a worldwide leader in the commercial cleaning industry, Jani-King of Cleveland is prepared to fight swine flu influenza A (H1N1) in schools, hospitals, offices and other facilities. With the CDC predicting that the number of reported cases in the United States will grow rapidly as students and tourists return from trips to Mexico, many schools have shut down for cleaning.

"We are very concerned about the recent outbreak of the Swine Flu and have called an emergency meeting of all local/regional Franchise owner's to prepare our groups on the proper disinfecting procedures and required precautions to offer our services to the public and private sectors if this outbreak should spread. The health and welfare of our Franchise Owner's, Employees, Families and Customers is paramount and we stand ready to assist and support all efforts to stop further spread of the Swine Influenza outbreak," explains Jani-King of Cleveland President Joe Carollo.

The swine flu has been reported to have spread through schools in Ohio, New York, Texas, Kansas and California in recent days.

"If anyone has received notice of an actual case of someone being infected with the Swine Flu and they had contact in a building, school, or other facility, they should contact our office for immediate response of our team of professionals to completely disinfect the area by calling 440-546-0000. The call then will be routed to our emergency responder team member."

The CDC reports that the swine flu virus is contagious and it is thought to be spread in the same way that the seasonal flu spreads. Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza. Sometimes people become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.
