James Roosevelt, Jr. Joins Inverness Medical Innovations' Board of Directors

WALTHAM, Mass., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Inverness Medical Innovations, Inc. (NYSE: IMA), a leading provider of near-patient diagnostics, monitoring and health management solutions, announced today that James Roosevelt, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Tufts Health Plan, was elected to the company's board of directors.

President Obama recently selected Mr. Roosevelt as part of his transition team to co-chair a review of the Social Security Administration. He serves as chairman of the board of directors for Massachusetts Association of Health Plans, and as a member of the board of directors at America's Health Insurance Plans, Emmanuel College and the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center.
