Jackson International Launches New Website in Collaboration with Medicaview International
Date:6/28/2009

Through an alliance with MedicaView, Jackson International is providing interactive online resources for medical travelers (medical tourists) and their families traveling to Miami for complex medical and surgical procedures. These tools also permit their affiliate physician HIPAA compliant access to medical records and information to better provide continuity of care for them.

Miami (PRWEB) June 28, 2009 -- Jackson International announced the launch today of a new interactive website, http://www.jmhi.org, running on the MedicaView Global Connect™ platform. This online tool combines an innovative design for engaging international patients with MedicaView's Global Distribution Platform for Healthcare™, and allows their doctors to follow up on their treatments at Jackson Memorial Hospital in a secure and HIPAA compliant portal. The program responds to the needs of international doctors as well as medical travelers (medical tourists), particularly from Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East. It also streamlines the process of finding, comparing, and choosing Jackson Memorial Hospital's healthcare products and services and integrates an online travel agent capability.

Jackson's doctors and services are also being syndicated through MedicaView network sites such as DestinationMed.com (http://www.destinationmed.com) Global Patient Services Magazine(www.gps-magazine.com), and MedicaView.com (http://www.medicaview.com), as well as with additional public and employer sites to be announced soon.

"MedicaView was instrumental in helping us launch this site in record time. Now our patients and international affiliates have quick access to our services and can interact with us in a far more efficient way," said Nancy Valenzuela, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for Jackson International. "In the next phase, we will be adding in a public interactive community social network capability for our patients and a private community social network for our physicians."

The new website interface is multi-lingual and provides significantly more information and functionality for visitors as they navigate its pages. Advanced search for content, doctors, and services combined with easy access to the premier Direct Access program of concierge services is included. A travel options area is also accessible directly from the site or through the Jackson Memorial medical assistant personnel.

"Jackson International's commitment to the highest quality experience for both their international affiliate physicians and their patients is readily apparent in the implementation of this new platform", said John Linss, President/CEO of MedicaView. "Their reputation for excellence in regions such as Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East for the highest quality healthcare is matched by their recognition of the importance that their online presence plays in patient engagement and satisfaction."

The multi-lingual portal and community social networking functionality together with eCommerce options efficiently address the needs of patients and international affiliates through a robust and integrated environment. More details are forthcoming shortly regarding the new Jackson International continuity of care programs and virtual conference capabilities.

"Jackson International's commitment to providing relevant access for the patient, provider, payer, and media demonstrates the importance of addressing the entire value chain for international healthcare. They have established a standard of excellence that others will look to for guidance for the foreseeable future," Linss added.
