JPL Insurance Services Prepares Local Childcare Centers for Safety Standard Changes across the Country

According to the National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), the state of California has 11,048 childcare centers, 5% which are nationally accredited. Many households have parents who both work 9-5 jobs, which means childcare and daycare centers are crucial for children and families. However, staying up to date with safety standards is important to run a reliable, secure business. When it comes to the children, their safety should be priority.

At JPL Insurance Services, the agents encourage local childcare centers to look into the upcoming changes to safety standards across the country. In May, federal health officials proposed to improve safety regulations in over 500,000 child care centers across the nation. The alterations included background and fingerprint checks for employees and better monitoring of facilities within each state. Here are some more important facts to know about the new, potential requirements for daycare centers, provided by JPL Insurance Services:

  •     Youth who attend childcare centers on subsidies from the federal government will experience the proposed changes.
